About Tammy Patterson
I believe living a healthy lifestyle begins with maintaining a strong and healthy body, mind and spirit. My aim is to help you identify your healthy lifestyle goals, design a program that fits your needs and guide you through every part your journey. My holistic approach to good health will have you feeling great and seeing results in your overall wellness in no time.
I am a yoga and meditation instructor, fitness trainer, stretch therapist, energy healer and sound healer with a host of specializations in health and wellness, including meditation, nutritional guidance, and specializing in wellness for cancer patients. I am a breast cancer survivor who chose to heal holistically vs choosing chemo and radiation. Changing the mind heals the body. My background in psychology, mental health and education allows a unique perspective into the functioning of the human mind and how we can change the mind to heal the body. I look forward to helping you on your journey.

Energy & Sound Healing
Energy healing is based on the belief that a vital energy flows through the human body. The goal of energy healing is to balance your energy flow. It is used to reduce stress and anxiety and promote overall well-being. Energy healing is now being studied in patients receiving cancer therapy, to find out if it can improve quality of life, boost the immune system, or reduce side effects. Also called energy therapy. Tammy Patterson is a holistic wellness coach helping people heal the mind, body and soul. All must work in sync in order to be whole.
Finding gratitude saved my life. After years of living in chronic stress, my mind (thoughts/emotions) changed the condition of my body, which led to a breast cancer diagnosis. Being diagnosed with cancer helped me find more gratitude, and I know gratitude is one of the reasons I survived and is a huge part of why I am thriving today.
I want to share my formula for finding gratitude with the world in hopes that gratitude will save someone else's life. That is what being human is all about.

Nutrition
A healthy diet, including the herbs/seasonings you use, can improve your overall health and have you feeling your best--thriving and full of energy! Nutrition is discussed with every plan you choose.

Yoga & Breath Work

These are just some of the benefits of practicing yoga. Movement and breath together brings balance, strength, flexibility and mental clarity. Yoga helps to preserve and to heal the body and the mind. Begin where you are.
Deep, slow breathing is an easily accessible technique that has many health benefits. This slow, deep breathing method can help you better manage diseases such as high blood pressure, lung diseases, anxiety, depression, and more. When you breathe deeply, you give your internal organs a message of well being while oxygenating your blood.

Meditation
Meditation triggers a relaxation cycle in the body-oxygen in, tension out--that not only feels great but also changes the way you react to stress. When you meditate regularly, you'll find that small irritations and big challenges don't hit you as hard as they used to; you may be able to find the clarity you need to make everyday decisions relating to work and to your personal life. There are different types of practices--some loose and others structured. Take any opportunity to try them and find out what works for you. Once you begin to practice regularly, meditation is like a tool you have in your back pocket. You can use it anytime, anywhere, to rest, relax, and restart.

Cancer Wellness
A cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming. Between planning doctor’s visits, waiting for test results, and continuing to live your “normal life”, it may seem impossible to practice self care; and as a result, we may put self care on the back burner. Waking up and getting dressed after not sleeping well due to an anxious mind, getting food on the table for the family, working, and taking care of your children can feel like a huge feat. It is during this time when we need self care the most. Navigating the medical questions, knowing what foods to eat to keep you healthy, strong, and supported during treatment as well as those foods and herbal supplementation to help fight nausea/sickness, practicing mindfulness daily (meditation, moving your body, and finding peace) are most important at this time.
